Bethlehem – Aaron and Jared McCool, brothers and co-owners, of Steadfast Farms welcomed State Rep. Karen Reddington-Hughes for a tour of their facilities. It is one of Connecticut’s only fully licensed poultry processing farm, with several different breeds of bird available. The visit was inspired by Jared McCool’s earlier success in the year, being named “Connecticut’s Outstanding Young Farmer.”
“I really appreciated learning about the poultry industry. It’s not as easy as one would think to raise the chicks to be healthy birds and provide a quality product for communities across our great state,” said Reddington-Hughes.
In addition to running the poultry farm, both Aaron and Jared served in our country’s armed forces.
“As a veteran-owned business, it’s no secret why the farm has such a good reputation. Aaron and Jared do a phenomenal job, their repeat, and continually expanding, customer base is a testament to their strong work ethic,” said Reddington-Hughes.
