Rep. Pizzuto Takes Oath of Office to Serve Middlebury, Waterbury

HARTFORD — State Representative Bill Pizzuto (R-71) was sworn in at the State Capitol in Hartford Wednesday. Pizzuto says he is ready to get back to work for the residents of Middlebury and Waterbury.
For the 2025-2026 session, House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora appointed Rep. Pizzuto to serve as a member of the Aging Committee, Children’s Committee, and the Human Services Committee. Previously, he served on the Banking Committee, General Law Committee and the Housing Committee.
“It is an honor to continue to represent the people of Middlebury and Waterbury and work on the issues that are important to all of us, including lowering the cost of energy and maintaining the fiscal guardrails that have put our state on the path to economic stability,” said Rep. Pizzuto.
After being sworn-in, legislators acted on the General Assembly’s operating rules for the upcoming year. Pizzuto voted in favor of the new rules, which were approved by the House of Representatives in its first order of business of the new session.
