In honor of Earth Day, State Representative Bill Pizzuto (R-71) is joining with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to host a virtual workshop to highlight the importance of recycling.
Rep. Pizzuto and DEEP’s Sherill Baldwin are hosting the free Zoom seminar to discuss the ins and outs of recycling, including an overview of acceptable materials for Connecticut’s mixed recycling program. The Zoom format will allow participants to ask questions and get answers in real-time.
“We all want to do our part to keep our streets clean and help the environment but sometimes it can be confusing to know which products and packaging can be recycled and which need to be placed in the regular trash,” Rep. Pizzuto said. “I want to thank Sherill for taking the time to explain the process and to educate us on the most effective ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.”
