Rep. Pizzuto Appointed to New Committee for Third Term in Office

HARTFORD – House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora has appointed State Rep. William Pizzuto (R-Middlebury) to once again be a member of Human Services and the Childrens Committees. He will also serve on the Aging Committee. These appointments will be effective when the Connecticut General Assembly convenes for session on Wednesday, January 8, and will remain through the 2026 session.
“The Human Services Committee touches the lives of so many Connecticut residents and I look forward to having input on those issues,” said Rep. Pizzuto. “The committees on Aging and Children also intersect with the work of the Human Services Committee so I will be able to offer a unique insight on proposed legislation that comes before us.”
The Human Services Committee has cognizance of all matters relating to the Department of Social Services, including institutions under its jurisdiction, and the Department of Aging and Disability Services.
Pizzuto previously served on General Law Committee, the Banking Committee, and the Housing Committee. He is a former Waterbury city alderman and was director of UConn Waterbury, and is on the advisory board of Ives Bank.
