CTDOT Road Work Scheduled Throughout District

A long-term road project is starting next week on I-84. The highway will be milled and paved, in both directions, between Exits 16 and 13 through Middlebury and Southbury. The project starts 4/1/25 and is expected to last through 11/30/26. The nighttime work will cause lane closures from 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., but modifications or extensions may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Please drive carefully through this area.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will be performing bridge repairs on I-84 eastbound in Waterbury and needs to close several lanes during the overnight hours from Wednesday, April 2 to Thursday, April 3, 2025, 10pm to 6am. This will happen within the Route 8 and I-84 interchange (Mixmaster). The DOT cautioned that these lane closures may cause significant traffic delays. Please use caution when driving in this area.
