East Hartford – State Representatives John Piscopo and Selim Noujaim recently met with school administrators and took a guided tour of Goodwin College’s recently opened Business and Manufacturing Center in East Hartford. The facility – located on Pent Road in a renovated former Pratt and Whitney building near the engine maker’s headquarters – features classroom, manufacturing, technology and computer lab areas, as well as faculty offices and a large area for study, socializing or studying.
Goodwin College is an accredited, nonprofit college that offers 43 separate programs. Students can earn Collegiate Certificates, Associates or Bachelor’s degrees de pending upon the course of study. For 2014, the college enrolled 3,686 students, with 97% living in Connecticut.
