HELP US FILL THE TRAILER WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES!

Please join me on Wednesday, August 14th from 10:30am-11:30am at Nexus Consulting, 220 Birge Park Rd., Harwinton.

I will be assisting our very own Harwinton local relief effort to collect donations for the families devastated by the deadly EF-5 tornadoes in Oklahoma earlier this spring.

This collection event will be focused on gathering ‘back to school’ supplies for the children of Moore, OK, whose elementary schools were badly damaged or destroyed.  This will be the third trip by the group to bring supplies to the people of Moore, OK.

    BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE
    Wednesday, August 14th
    10:30am-11:30am
Nexus Consulting, 200 Birge Park Rd. Ste 4, Harwinton, CT

    School Supplies:
-Pens, pencils, crayons, markers, colored chalk
    -Backpacks lunchboxes, rulers, notebooks, etc.
    -Anything in school supplies aisle

Sporting Goods for elementary school children:
-Balls (baseball, football, soccer, tennis, softball, etc.)
-Bats, gloves, gym socks, shin guards, mouth guards
    -Shorts, t-shirts, etc.

This effort is in collaboration with a group of business owners from Harwinton, who are Sandy Hook natives. For this group, the mission is a personal comittment to pay forward the kidness and generosity that was shown during the Sandy Hook tragedy. One group member is the father of a surviving first-grader of the massacre.

As families prepare their children across the nation to go back to school in the coming weeks, I thank this group of volunteers for their tireless and continued humanitarian efforts to stand with the people of Moore, OK as they rebuild their lives.

State Senators Jason Welch and Kevin Witkos are also expected to particpate.
I look forward to seeing you there.
