Rep. Piscopo Meets with Realtors at State Capitol

HARTFORD—This week, State Rep. John Piscopo (R-76) participated in the annual Connecticut Realtors’ Day meeting with dozens of realtors who traveled to the State Capitol from the communities of Litchfield, Thomaston, Burlington, and Harwinton, to talk about a number of state issues that impact their industry.
Realtors from all over the state attended and participated in discussions with state legislators to let them know their views on the topics that directly impact their business.
‘I appreciate the fact that hundreds of realtors came to Hartford to discuss the bills that are of importance to them and the commercial and housing markets,’ said Piscopo. The housing market has a direct and immediate impact on our economy. I stand with the Connecticut Association of Realtors as a supporter of economic growth in our state.’
The Connecticut Association of Realtors expressed their opposition to any increase in the real estate conveyance tax and advocating for reform of the state’s foreclosure regulations.
