Rep. Piscopo Honors Harwinton Ambulance Association’s 50 Years

HARWINTON– On Friday, October 11th State Rep John Piscopo (R-76) attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Harwinton Ambulance Association. The event celebrated the great success that the association has been over the past 50 years.

“This event was a great way to honor and recognize the outstanding work and the commitment of each of the Harwinton Ambulance Association volunteers,” said Rep. Piscopo. “These men and women selflessly give of their personal time in order to be on call and ready to assist in the event of an emergency. They have made, and continue to make this town a safer, better place through their service. I wish them continued success as they continue to serve the people of Harwinton and the greater community.”

Rep. Piscopo spoke on the merits of volunteerism and the great service that the Ambulance Association has delivered. Kevin Ferrarotti, Deputy Chief of Operations and Jason Emery, Chief of Service, both spoke on the history of the Ambulance Association and the bright future that all this hard work has provided.
The Ambulance Association now contains more than 60 members who volunteer many hours in preparation and response to emergencies. The Ambulance Association also hosts and conducts CPR and first aid classes for residents to education and train them on emergency response.
