Rep. John Piscopo Honors Troop 75 Eagle Scouts

HARTFORD – State Rep. John Piscopo (R-76) joined Boy Scout Troop 75, along with family and guests to honor Christopher Zebrowski of Thomaston and Zachary Wegh of Terryville, who earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
During the Eagle Court of Honor, Rep. Piscopo presented each of the men with citations from the General Assembly, in recognition of their accomplishments.
‘I offer my sincere congratulations to Chris and Zach on their impressive achievements,’ said Rep. Piscopo. ‘To earn the rank of Eagle Scout takes commitment and determination. These young men have put in countless hours of hard work, both in their communities and in the wilderness, earning 21 merit badges to advance to the rank of Eagle. Chris and Zach showed that through perseverance and dedication, you can achieve your goals.’
The Eagle Scout Rank is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout Rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. The title of “Eagle Scout” is held for life, hence the phrase “once an Eagle, always an Eagle”.
Requirements include earning a number of merit badges and demonstrating Scout spirit, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
