For those who were unable to attend the October 1st public hearing in Hartford, the Program Review and Investigations (PRI) committee has announced they will be having an additional public hearing examining the operations of the Connecticut State Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill at the Veterans’ Home.

On Wednesday, November 12th, the Program Review and Investigations (PRI) committee will conduct the public hearing at the Connecticut State Veterans’ Home at 287 West Street in Rocky Hill.

The Public Hearing will start at 2:00 p.m. The first hour is reserved for legislators, agency heads, municipal chief elected officials, and constitutional officers; public is limited to three minutes of testimony per person.

The Program Review and Investigations committee will examine the current delivery of services by the Connecticut Department of Veterans’ Affairs to ensure its residential services are delivered fairly and adequately. They will also assess processes for admitting, discharging, and transferring residents, as well as resolving residents’ complaints and implementing conduct rules.

For questions for further information, please contact the Program Review and Investigations committee at 860-240-0300 or email: pri@cga.ct.gov.

I hope that you will share this information with veterans and those who support them.
