Hartford – On Wednesday, February 11th, State Representative John Piscopo (R-Thomaston) paid a visit to Harwinton Consolidated School to participate in their annual Read Aloud Day.
Piscopo spent the morning with 2nd graders, first reading the children’s book “Just Right for Two” and then speaking with them about his role as a state legislator and taking their questions.

“It was a pleasure to participate in Read Aloud Day celebration at Harwinton Consolidated School,” said Rep. Piscopo. “It’s important to keep children motivated and interested in reading as they continue their learning and development. I was thrilled to have spent time in the classroom reading to the students and interacting with them.

The Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, through a grant from the Alcoa Foundation, purchased library quality books to be read aloud to students and then donated to area schools.
In addition to Harwinton, Representative Piscopo represents Burlington, Litchfield, and Thomaston.
