    Piscopo Hosts American Flag Retirement Ceremony

    State Rep. John Piscopo (R-76) has announced that he is hosting a ceremony to properly retire worn American Flags, together with the Ives-Cleaveland American Legion Post 137 in Harwinton and supported by the Harwinton Center Fire Department.

    The Flag Retirement Ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.at the Harwinton Fair Grounds, located at Locust Road in Harwinton CT.

    This event is open to the public and all Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other youth groups are encouraged to attend.

    Anyone who has a tattered or worn American Flag who was unable to drop them off during the collection is encouraged to bring them to the ceremony.
