THOMASTON – State Rep. John Piscopo (R-78) recently attended the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department’s annual banquet, along with veteran and active duty members of the fire department, the woman’s auxiliary, and explorers, local dignitaries, and guests.
Among the awards given that evening, Rep. Piscopo was honored by the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department for his dedication and commitment to the department and to fire services across the state. Rep. Piscopo was presented with a plaque by Chief James O’Neill, who informed guests that the award was being given as a surprise to the legislator.
“What an incredible surprise. I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this recognition. I was proud to attend the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department’s banquet this year, in support of those who bravely and selflessly give their time to protect our citizens. This recognition will be one of the most memorable and cherished of my life because it comes from people whom I deeply respect and admire,” said Rep. Piscopo.
