With snow and ice storms and temperature changes from bitter cold to seasonably warm, roadways across Connecticut are starting to show signs of damage. Frost heaves and potholes develop seemingly overnight and can cause delays, traffic incidents and, in some extreme cases, damage to cars and trucks.

In an effort to address these issues in the fastest possible way, the State DOT has a website for you to report potholes and other dangerous road conditions on state roads.
While the website link above only applies to state roads you may contact your local Public Works departments for problems on town roads as follows:
Burlington Public Works: 860-673-6789
Harwinton Public Works: 860-485-9051
Litchfield Public Works: 860-567-7575
Thomaston Public Works: 860-283-4421
I encourage residents to voice their concerns.
If you would like to voice a concern on this or any state legislative issue, please contact me at 800-842-1423 or email john.piscopo@housegop.ct.gov.
