HARTFORD – State Representative John Piscopo (R-76) congratulates Thomaston resident Megan Foell, who was recently voted in the affirmative by the General Assembly to serve as a non-voting student member of the State Board of Education. Foell will serve until June 30, 2015.
“I was proud to support Megan in her nomination as student member of the State Board of Education,” said Rep. Piscopo. “Through her accomplished academic career, along with her demonstrated ability to successfully manage volunteer, extracurricular, and work activities, Megan is a solid choice to represent her peers and the interests of students across Connecticut.”

Foell, a senior at Thomaston High School, serves in various leadership and volunteer positions both at school and in the community. She also participates in various community theatre productions across the state, and most recently at Landmark Community Theater in Thomaston.
