Piscopo Congratulates Class S State Champion Harwinton High School Girls’ Field Hockey Team

HARTFORD – State Rep. John Piscopo (R-76) congratulated Harwinton High School Girls’ Field Hockey Team on their title victory to become Class S State Champions.

“It is an honor to celebrate such an exciting victory with the Harwinton High School Girls’ Field Hockey Team,” said Piscopo. “I am so proud of this group of dedicated young women and I join our community in sharing in the tremendous pride that the team has brought to our school, to our athletic program, and to our town.”

Piscopo attended the banquet held at the Grand Oak Villa in Oakville to honor the players and coaches. A citation from the Connecticut General Assembly was also presented by Piscopo, in recognition of their great achievement.

“I offer my sincerest congratulations to Coach Brooke Gomes Holway and all of the players on the girls’ field hockey team on their incredible season and remarkable victory.”

Thomaston defeated Haddam-Killingworth 2-1 in an impressive title game held at Wethersfield High School.
