Burlington – State Rep. John Piscopo (R-76) was on hand to celebrate the official opening of a newly rebuilt and resurfaced 1.8-mile section of the Farmington River Trail in Burlington. Piscopo joined Burlington First Selectman, Ted Shafer, along with other state and local officials at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new bike/pedestrian trail. The trail, which runs parallel to the Farmington River and is part of the Heritage Trail, becomes part of the East Coast Greenway system.
