Piscopo Applauds Local Bank’s Commitment to the Community

THOMASTON – State Rep. John Piscopo (R-Thomaston) recently visited Thomaston Savings Bank where he spoke with bank President and CEO Stephen Lewis. During the visit, Lewis spoke with Piscopo about the success and growth of the bank, including their continued expansion to neighboring towns. In addition to the many financial resources available to assist bank patrons, Lewis proudly touted the bank’s commitment to individuals and families in the greater community and giving back to residents through various programs.

“Thomaston Savings is a great example of what it means to be a true community partner,” said Rep. Piscopo. “Whether it’s simply helping a youngster open their first savings account, or working with a family who is struggling to make mortgage payments to find a payment plan to help keep them in their home, Thomaston Savings and their staff continue to go above and beyond to help our neighbors and families and I applaud their efforts. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, they offer their customers flexible choices about the services available to best suit customer needs. In today’s economy, individuals and families are looking for options to best suit their needs and from a provider that is willing to work with them. Thomaston Savings has done an exceptional job of offering that partnership to residents and I wish them much continued success.”
Through the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation, Inc., millions of dollars have been raised and distribute annually to local religious, charitable, health, public safety, arts, and educational programs. Most recently, the bank has partnered with Bristol Adult Education and COCC to sponsor adult education banking courses in the community. In 2015, the foundation proudly provided $403,370 in charitable giving.
Incorporated in 1874, Thomaston Savings Bank is a state chartered mutual savings bank dedicated to providing the highest quality financial services to its customers.
