With suicide being the 2nd leading cause of death among 15-24 year olds, and 22% of high school students reporting being bullied within the last year, Connecticut is working tirelessly to provide new resources for those who struggle with addiction or mental health-related problems.
Recently, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services launched www.TurningPointCT.org, a new website dedicated to providing guidance to teens and young adults. In addition to an online discussion board, a Q&A Guide, and assisting in the search for local providers, the website offers personal stories from others who have suffered from mental illness and addiction.
www.TurningPointCt.org provides an informative and supportive place for teens and young adults to connect with each other and begin their journey towards healing.
If you, or someone you know, are suffering, I encourage you to visit this website.
