THOMASTON – Sen. Henri Martin (standing, at left) and Rep. John Piscopo (standing, at right) on June 6 hosted a legislative update for area residents at Thomaston Town Hall.
Taxpayers were able to ask Martin and Piscopo about the recently completed session of the Connecticut General Assembly and discuss ideas on how to improve the quality of life in Connecticut. The lawmakers backed an alternative no-tax-hike budget which called for property tax relief and which restored the governor’s funding cuts to town aid. Martin and Piscopo also supported the restoration of funding cuts the governor made to vital services for seniors, the disabled, and children.
Those who could not attend may contact the legislators at any time.
Martin can be reached at 860 240-0022 and at Henri.Martin@cga.ct.gov.
Piscopo can be reached at John.Piscopo@housegop.ct.gov and at 800 842-1423.
