Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As you know, many significant pieces of legislation were debated and passed by the General Assembly throughout the 2013 legislative session. In order to better inform you about this legislation, the non-partisan Office of Legislative Research (OLR) has released summaries of the ‘2013 Major Public Acts.’
To view the report, please click here: http://www.cga.ct.gov/olr/Documents/year/MA/2013MA-20130610_Major%20Acts%20for%202013.pdf
Some of the topics outlined in the report include: campaign finance, minimum wage, job creation, mental health reforms, genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), and the state budget.
These summaries are intended to be brief. OLR will release detailed summaries of all public acts later this summer.
If you would like to discuss this or any other topic that came before the legislature this session, please do not hesitate to contact me at 800-842-1423 or john.piscopo@housegop.ct.gov.
