Harwinton’s Alex Weems achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the end of 2024. For his community project, he constructed an enclosed shed for Stoney Brook Farm, a local animal rescue. The shed will protect hay from the elements and provide a secure storage space for the farm’s resources.
“It was a privilege to attend Alex’s Eagle Scout Ceremony and celebrate this incredible accomplishment. Wishing him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Rep. Piscopo.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) program.
Fun Fact: Did you know that being an Eagle Scout is recognized by the United States Military? Upon graduation from Basic Training in the USAF, USMC, US Army, or US Navy, an Eagle Scout is advanced to E-2.
