The mission of the Connecticut Birth to Three System is to strengthen the capacity of Connecticut’s families to meet the developmental and health-related needs of their infants and toddlers who have delays or disabilities.
Connecticut Birth to Three is a system that will help families identify If their children have the possibility of developmental concerns early on. These may include, but are not limited to, communication, motor, adaptive, social-emotional, health, vision or hearing, and cognitive.
4,680 children were eligible in 2012 for Birth to Three due to significant developmental delays or due to being diagnosed with a medical condition which would result in a developmental delay.
Birth to Three offers programs to support families in their childcare, and providing the best possible resources and care for these children.
