CT National Guard Supports Operation ELF

Once again, in an effort to support our local military families, the Connecticut National Guard will be implementing Operation ELF (Embracing Local Families). Established in 2003, Operation ELF aims to ease the stresses of deployment that military families face.
This year, Operation ELF organizers are asking for donations in the form of pharmacy, grocery, department store, and home supply store gift cards as well as donations of fuel oil, snow removal, and home maintenance.
All donations can be dropped off between the hours of 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. at any of the following locations through December 12, 2014:

Additionally, donations may be made at the Governor’s Residence Holiday Open Houses, which will be held on December 5th and 6th from 10a.m.-3p.m. and December 7th from 12-4p.m.

All donations are fully tax-deductible.
Currently, thirty-eight Connecticut National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are deployed overseas in Southwest Asia, with another 225 expected to deploy within the next fifteen months.
