The Connecticut Food Bank is hoping to ease the burden some local families face as we enter the holiday season.
Last year, the Connecticut Food bank was able to provide close to 600,000 Thanksgiving meals to residents in need. This year, although the need for Thanksgiving meals is anticipated to be at an all-time high, they are hoping no one has to go without.
To reach their goal, the Connecticut Food Bank has decided to host a virtual Thanksgiving Food Drive!
By visiting http://vad.aidmatrix.org/vfdhtml.cfm?driveid=7993, you are able to donate directly to the Connecticut Food Bank. On the website, you will see exactly how far your donation will go and you also have the ability to specify what items you want you want your money to go towards—anything from a can of cranberry sauce or a turkey, to an entire bag of groceries.
By hosting a virtual food drive, the Connecticut Food Bank has made donating effortless. Please consider visiting the site and making a donation. Any amount will make an enormous difference to those families in need in our community!
