BURLINGTON – On Monday, June 30, Governor Lamont announced that two towns in the 76th District have been awarded funding through the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Transportation Rural Improvement Program (TRIP). According to State Representative John Piscopo, the funding will be strategically invested to deliver immediate and meaningful improvements to local infrastructure.
Towns Receiving TRIP Funding:

Burlington will receive $1,545,500 to support roadway improvements on West Chippen Road. The project will include full-depth reconstruction and drainage upgrades, enhancing safety and accessibility for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Litchfield has been awarded $968,000 for roadway improvements on Campville Road. The project will focus on full-depth reconstruction and drainage enhancements to improve travel conditions and access to nearby state parks.
“These investments are critical for ensuring safer, more reliable roads in our rural communities,” said Rep. Piscopo. “I’m pleased to see this funding going toward projects that will benefit residents and visitors alike.”
