Today, the General Assembly convened for a Special Legislative Session to discuss certain changes to state voting laws. In our discussion, I voiced my support for an amendment that would have effectively eliminated the use of absentee ballot drop boxes, initially introduced as a “safe voting practice” during the pandemic.
On the Bridgeport Ballot Blunder: “We caught ’em on tape, this is the chance to fix it.”

The Bottom Line: the pandemic has come and gone, so should these drop boxes.
Unfortunately, the majority party failed to pass this amendment today, however, I will continue to promote clean and honest elections where every vote counts!
