This is a reminder that Connecticut residents between the ages of 16 and 44 who wish to receive a COVID-19 vaccination will be eligible beginning tomorrow, April 1!

Visit the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Portal to view scheduling options.

Those currently eligible to receive a vaccination will continue to be eligible. This includes:

  • All individuals over the age of 45;
  • Healthcare personnel;
  • Medical first responders;
  • Residents and staff of long-term care facilities;
  • Residents and staff of select congregate

Committee to Vote on Local Zoning Legislation Tomorrow!

The legislature’s Planning and Development Committee will be voting tomorrow on multiple bills that would threatened “home rule” of local zoning matters. If these bills are approved by the committee, they would be sent to the full Connecticut House and Senate for a vote.

As I’ve said before, providing more affordable housing should be a top priority for all Connecticut municipalities, but these issues are best dealt with at the local level where land use experts understand the needs of their towns.
