WILLINGTON – Rep. Tammy Nuccio, R-53rd, is partnering with BSA Troop 82 for a food drive to benefit the Willington Human Services Food Pantry.
Food banks need assistance throughout the year and Rep. Nuccio is hoping that residents can lend a hand during the donation drive, because every can of vegetables, box of pasta, or bag of rice will help the community. Multiple drop-off locations will be available in Willington and she will join the Boy Scouts of Troop 82 during an in-person drop off at the Willington Transfer Station.
The drive begins on July 1 and continues through July 12. Rep. Nuccio will help cap off the drive on Saturday, July 12 with an in-person donation drop off from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at the Willington Transfer Station (60 Hancock Road).
The list of needed items is on the attached flyer and includes canned food, hygiene products and pasta, among many others.
Three drop-off locations in Willington are available for all donations:
- Willington Public Library (7 Ruby Road)
- Willington Pizza House (25 River Road)
- Willington Pizza Too (11 Phelps Way)
