Rep. Nuccio Presents Service Awards to Veterans at Eastern CT Veterans Center

HARTFORD – Rep. Tammy Nuccio, R-Tolland, was invited to the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center on Tuesday evening to present service awards to area veterans who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer efforts.

The center serves veterans in Willimantic and surrounding towns. More than a dozen awards were presented during the ceremony, which also included a dinner for the recipients. Veterans who are members of the Military, Firefighter and Cops Motorcycle Club were also on hand to receive well-deserved awards for their service.

“From donations, to spending time painting the walls of the center, or restoring the gravesites of veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, thank you to all the veterans and volunteers who were recognized, and those who continue to serve,” Rep. Nuccio said. “Having family who have served in the military, I recognize that our veterans and service members give up so much to protect our country.”
