TOLLAND – Rep. Tammy Nuccio, R-53rd, recently partnered with experts and advocates to host a successful Public Informational Forum on Domestic Violence & Awareness in Tolland.
The event, held at Tolland Town Hall, included both in-person and online attendees who had the opportunity to ask questions of panelists, including Town Manager Brian Foley, Meghan Scanlon; President & CEO of Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Karen O’Connor, CEO of The Network Against Domestic Abuse; and Mary-Jane Foster, President and CEO of The Interval House.
The forum focused on sharing statistics and resources in order to help people who need to escape potentially dangerous domestic situations that can have life-altering consequences on mental health, family life and the ability to hold a job.
