Domestic Violence Awareness Month

State Rep. Kathleen McCarty (R-38), Katherine Verano, Safe Futures CEO and State Rep. Holly Cheeseman (R-37) at the first-ever Purple Flag raising over the State Capitol to raise awareness on the issue of domestic violence. The month of October is recognized as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Background

Safe Futures works to save lives, restore hope and change the future for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking in southeastern Connecticut.
