State Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco Budget Vote Statement
“I am very disappointed with the budget document produced by the Appropriations Committee today, my constituents in Wolcott and Southington have consistently advocated for less government and lower taxes. This budget does not reflect the tough economic conditions on the ground in Connecticut or my district; instead the two-year budget spends over $1 billion more than the previous state budget. No discussion of reducing state spending was ever had in the production of this plan. This budget will only lead to higher taxes for Connecticut residents. I cannot support this budget plan.”
