    Today, we honor and remember the many brave men and women who served and currently serve the greatest country in the world, and who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep America safe and free.

    Let us not forget Veteran’s Day is about the cost of our freedom. Our freedom is the most important and defining characteristic that makes us Americans – and without it, we are without self, or purpose – or a future.

    The sacrifice of these brave men and women who serve this country is, and always has been, truly remarkable. They start each day with the knowledge that it may very well be their last; but persist anyway. And it is not done for personal gain, but simply because they love America and understand that it is worth fighting for. It reminds us that Freedom is not free.

    While life does not always prove to be perfect, we are so lucky to live in a free country. A country that prospers, where each-and every one of us has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And, with hard work, determination, and maybe a little luck, we all have opportunities to live our own American Dream. We owe all of this to our Veterans. Words cannot describe the debt of gratitude that is due them all.

    Ronald Reagan said – “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We did not pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” He was right. It is our veterans – past and present that duty falls to.

    Whether we know them personally, or not, they have touched each-and-every one of our lives. Thank you to all our country’s veterans, because of you the world is a much better place.
