This Friday, March 1st is the annual National Day of Unplugging, a 24-hour period where people commit to removing, or seriously limiting, their technology use.
This annual event, conceived as a way for people to easily relax and unwind, is celebrated on the first Friday of March beginning at sunset and continues until sunset of the following day.
Now, we all know how difficult it is to be unplugged for a full 24 hours, but even limiting technology use will have a positive, calming effect. Disconnecting also allows us to evaluate our “screen time” and make changes to our daily routines to limit electronics use.
If you can, take a step back from the tech and enjoy the present moment.
