    Dear Friends and Neighbors,

In a press release, the Connecticut DOT announced it is hosting a virtual meeting to provide information about the proposed project to rehabilitate Bridge Nos. 00058 & 03563, which carries I-95 and the Exit 15 Off-Ramp to Route 7 Northbound, respectively.

CT DOT Virtual Public Information Meeting: Rehabilitation of Norwalk Bridges – March 7, 2024 7:00 p.m.

The rehabilitation will repair the concrete decks, steel superstructures, and concrete substructures. The Maintenance and Protection of Traffic includes overnight lane and shoulder closures and overnight closures of the north-bound on ramp at West Street with a local detour. Additional short-term closures of the sidewalk over Bridge No. 03563 and overnight closures of the Pedestrian Path will be required to complete the work.

Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2027 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $15,000,000. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 100 percent State funds.
