Rep. Lanoue Speaks in Favor of His Concept to Establish a Task Force to Examine the ICPC

During Tuesday’s Children’s Committee meeting, I had the opportunity to speak on my concept to form a task force to examine the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC). It is crucial that the ICPC protects Connecticut’s children and families, so we do not cede our authority and decision-making process to other states when it comes to Connecticut residents.

I would like to my fellow members on the Children’s Committee for supporting this concept and ensuring that a public hearing is held. I look forward to the testimonials and public comment on this very important issue impacting our children.
