The Judiciary Committee has just released their latest Public Hearing Agenda for March 2nd, and my bill, H.B. 5309-An Act Concerning the Provision Of Notice To a Parent Or Guardian Of a Minor Child Who Seeks To Receive Pregnancy-Related Health Care Services, will be heard. This proposal would amend the general statutes to require that, prior to the termination of a pregnancy by a minor, the parent or guardian of the minor be notified. This would ensure that minor children are supported and protected while they are facing one of the most stressful, difficult decisions of their lives, making a life-or-death decision that they will live with for the rest of their lives.
