November 24th Juliet Long School Visit

It was a pleasure on Monday to meet with Mrs. Green’s second grade class at the Juliet Long School in Gales Ferry. We talked about how there are rules or laws at every level including national, state, and in Mrs. Green’s class.

The kids and I had a great discussion on how they can be part of the rule making process on the state level. I gave all the kids a homework assignment to write a rule or law they would like to make or change in Connecticut. Some ideas they already came up with was anti-bullying, kindness, and stronger fire prevention initiatives.

I want to thank all the kids for their time and look forward to seeing the rest of the ideas they come up with!
