Thanksgiving cornucopia

As Thanksgiving Day approaches and you begin writing your grocery and to-do lists, the Connecticut Food Bank urges you to add just one more item.

With just a $10 donation, at least one person from a family in need of food assistance can be fed for an entire week. To ensure that no one goes without a holiday meal, the food bank is kicking off their annual Thanksgiving for All campaign hosted and sponsored by local civic and religious organizations, charitable foundations, businesses, media and supermarkets.

If you are unable to donate physical food items such as canned vegetables or a turkey, a Virtual Food Drive will be available to all families, schools, and companies who would like to contribute.

For more information about how to make financial donations, call 203-469-5000.
