Reps. Rebimbas and Labriola, Mayor Hess Discuss Naugatuck Priorities

Hartford – As the 2016 legislative session enters the final few weeks, State Representative Rosa C. Rebimbas and David Labriola are monitoring the progress of proposed legislation identified during a pre-session meeting with Naugatuck Mayor Pete Hess.

“By working together with Mayor Hess to prioritize the issues that directly impact Naugatuck we can help pass good legislation that benefits all borough residents,” Rep. Rebimbas said. “I look forward to continuing our work together as the session progresses.”

“Our meeting with Mayor Hess was both informative and productive as we identified several pieces of legislation which will benefit the citizens of Naugatuck,” Rep. Labriola said.

During the meeting they discussed Naugatuck’s plan of action, current and possible future state funding, the timeline and progression of current projects underway and potential future projects for Naugatuck, including the relocation and upgrades of the train station platform and possible brownfield remediation.

The 2016 legislative session ends at midnight on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
