HARTFORDState Representatives Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70) and David Labriola (R-131) recently visited the Beacon Brook Health Center & Outpatient Rehabilitation Center where they met patients and talked with administrators about important legislation being considered in the General Assembly.

“Helping others is what the staff of Beacon Brook Health Center does best and I am encouraged by their commitment to the patients they serve and the community as a whole,” Rep. Rebimbas said. “With so many issues affecting seniors and healthcare facilities I am hopeful we can continue to work together to better provide for patients in need of these services.”

“It was good to return to Beacon Brook Health Center to discuss this year’s legislative proposals,” Rep. Labriola said. “I hope we can make advances this session towards enhancing the quality of life,  healthcare, and age-restricted housing for our elderly citizens.”

During the tour Reps. Rebimbas and Labriola discussed several policies that impact the center, including staff training, staff and patient safety measures and the use of Medicaid benefits by local patients, among other things. Facility administrator Linda Garcia stressed that importance further, saying 74% of patients that visit the facility receive Medicaid Benefits.
