OXFORD – State Rep. David Labriola, R-Oxford, joined his legislative colleagues and Governor Ned Lamont on Friday during a tour of Gyre9, a design and development company in Oxford that helps design market-ready products, including electric charging stations.
The company developed and manufactures the JuiceBar, an electric charging station that helps power electric cars, trucks, delivery vehicles and even buses. Gyre9 was launched by Ed and Wendy Gilchrest who worked out of a timber-lined barn, but their business continued to grow and now meets a growing demand for electric vehicles, while also providing dozens of jobs to area residents.
