Rep. Labriola will join Rep. Rosa Rebimbas in hosting an informational forum on Wednesday, March 14 at Naugatuck High School called The Realm of Online Dangers – What Teenagers Need to Know.

Panelists at the event will include Detective Rob Blanchard and Officer Charles Schofield of the Naugatuck Police Department and Sergeant Kevin Albanese of the Connecticut State Police’s Computer Crimes Unit.  Additionally, Richard Colangelo, a prosecutor from the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney will be on hand to speak. Following panelists’ presentations, they will be available to gladly answer any questions that audience members may have.

Rep. Rebimbas, who spearheaded the state’s first sexting law, is a longtime advocate for making young people aware of the consequences of possessing and disseminating nude or semi-nude images via electronic devices. This event will continue Reps. Rebimbas and Labriola’s work to engage with the young community about the legal and social implications of their online activities.
