OXFORD – State Rep. David Labriola (R-131) spoke Thursday at an Opioid, Heroin and Prescription Drug Misuse/Abuse Disorder Forum. The well-attended program largely focused on community resources – such as those from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). It also covered judicial issues associated with Connecticut’s current epidemic – for example, probation and parole – as well as the impact of addiction upon the entire family.
“The value of education regarding addiction and overdose prevention cannot be overstated,” said Rep. Labriola. “I will continue to advocate for addiction services for the residents of our community as they address this critical struggle.”
