Brian McCarthy and his son, Johnny McCarthy, 2, of Naugatuck, put money into the famous red kettle as Reps. Rosa C. Rebimbas holds it steady and David K. Labriola Labriola looks on.

State Representatives David Labriola (R-131) and Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70) stood outside the Naugatuck WalMart recently and rang the Salvation Army bell collecting money for the famous charity.

Last year, during a similar hour of bell-ringing, Reps. Labriola and Rebimbas collected $207.15 which Wal-Mart matched with a dollar-for-dollar contribution to The Salvation Army that brought the total for the hour to $414.30.

After shopping with her boyfriend James Munson, Natalie Polcari, of Naugatuck, puts her donation into the Salvation Army kettle as Reps. Rosa C. Rebimbas and David K. Labriola look on.
