State Representative David Labriola recently joined WATR 1320 radio host Tom Hill and appeared on the long-running Talk of the Town morning show.

Rep. Labriola went on the air to discuss the past year’s legislative session, including new laws that took effect on January 1st, the state budget and the upcoming session which begins February 8th. During the discussion Rep. Labriola broke down the difference between Connecticut’s 2-year legislative session and how this year is considered the “short” session. He went on to further explain that any bills brought forth by individual legislators this year must be directly related to budgetary matters facing the state, otherwise bills must come from one of the established legislative committees.

Rep. Labriola stressed the importance of focusing on good legislation to help get Connecticut residents back to work and reducing the financial burden on people across the state.

WATR’s Talk of the Town is one of Connecticut’s longest running local radio talk programs and airs each weekday with a fair-minded brand of topical talk for Central Connecticut.
