Sign up for CT Alert
The CT Alert Emergency Notification System is a service that sends you emergency alerts about dangerous weather, safety threats and critical public health matters. These alerts go straight to your mobile phone, home phone, email account, PDA or fax machine, and you can register multiple devices. This service is coordinated by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection. To sign up for CT Alert, please click here.

Summer Food Sites
End Hunger CT! will soon unveil their summer food site website, which informs the public about locations distributing free summer meals for children and teens 18 years and younger. The service, which is funded by the federal nutrition programs, makes nutritious meals and snacks available once school is dismissed for the summer. Emergency Preparedness Exercise
From July 28 – 31, the State Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection is planning a statewide exercise aimed at improving Connecticut’s preparation for the next inevitable emergency event. The exercise will help the state plan for all phases of hurricane planning, preparation, response and recovery, and will involve municipalities, state agencies, utility companies and private sector businesses.
