Dear Neighbors,

On Friday, March 1st, the Education Committee will be holding a public hearing on several bills including proposals to force the regionalization of public schools.

Senate Bill 738 would regionalize schools based on the state’s Probate Court Districts.

Senate Bill 457 would require any school district with a student population of fewer than two thousand students to join a new or an existing regional school district.

I strongly oppose both proposals. If you want to express your thoughts about these two bills, you can have your voice heard by submitting written testimony to the committee or you can testify in person.

To submit written testimony you can email edtestimony@cga.ct.gov, please copy me on the email – David.Labriola@housegop.ct.gov.

Here is how you can testify in person:

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at David.Labriola@housegop.ct.gov or call 860-240-8700.

Sincerely,

State Rep. David Labriola
